these panels along with his pencilled notes on how Nosey and Dosey should be depicted

In this Beano issue alone Watkins drew Wavy Davy and his Navy, a full
page Lord Snooty, a double page Shipwrecked Circus, and
this magnificent Tom Thumb double page. Practically half the comic
drawn single-handedly by an artist at the height of his powers. |
