Signed by the young boxer in ball-point pen in 1963, Clay had just finished a sparring session in London prior to his first fight with Henry Cooper.
The vendor's mother worked as a secretary for the British Boxing Board of Control and this iconic piece has spent the intervening years stored in a cellar at the family home. The magazine has some moisture staining not near or affecting the signature.

Biography: Dermot Power got his break in comics when he was commissioned to draw the cover of a Judge Dredd video game in 1990. He then worked on 2000AD illustrating Judge Dredd and Slaine before going into the film industry as a conceptual artist for Star Wars Episode II, Batman Begins and the Harry Potter series. His work rarely comes on to the open market.
